Seed fertilizer
When used as a seed fertilizer, the dosage must be small, 10 catties per mu, mixed with 5-10 times decomposed organic fertilizer or fertile soil, and do not contact with seeds.
When transplanting rice seedlings, 5-10 catties of ammonium sulfate fertilizer can be used per mu, combined with decomposed organic fertilizer, calcium superphosphate, etc., to make a thin mud, which is used to dip the roots of the seedlings, and the effect is very good.
Base fertilizer
When used as base fertilizer, cover soil should be applied deeply to facilitate crop absorption.
Top dressing
Top dressing is the most suitable use of ammonium sulfate, and the amount of top dressing of ammonium sulfate should be determined according to different soil types.
For soils with poor water and fertilizer retention properties, topdressing should be carried out in stages, and the dosage should not be too much each time;
For soils with good water and fertilizer retention properties, the dosage can be more appropriate each time.
In dry land, we must pay attention to timely watering when applying ammonium sulfate.
When topdressing in paddy fields, it should be drained and dried first, and attention should be paid to the simultaneous application of ploughing and harrowing.
It should be noted that ammonium sulfate cannot be applied for a long time as a physiological acid fertilizer. If it is applied in the same soil for a long time, it will increase its acidity and destroy the aggregate structure; in alkaline soil, the ammonium ions of ammonium sulfate are absorbed, while the acid ions remain in the soil. It reacts with calcium and hardens the soil.
